Welcome to The Life of Towns.

This project, named after a serial poem by Ann Carson, seeks to gather information from people who live in towns that have dark, odd, silly, disturbing, or just plain whacked names. Bonesteel. Askew. Black Earth. War. Slapout. Goochland. and my favorite: Wolftown (seek out Carson’s poem to see why).

The project is currently on hold because it's simply tedious and dull to do it via internet and mail; I plan to visit these towns and extract the information personally. Someday. Soon.
